Allocation of MIR Places

On the third day of MIR selection, the final places will be defined up to order number 2,700. Future residents are in the final stretch of assigning MIR places with specialties that are about to fill their quota.

Cardiology, Ophthalmology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Cardiology has assigned 183 positions out of the 197 total, leaving only 14 to fill. On the other hand, Ophthalmology has assigned 196 of 220 places and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has only five left to fill of the 30 available.

Assignment Details

In Cardiology, the last election was candidate number 2,100 at the General University Hospital of Ciudad Real. The places are distributed equitably in different autonomous communities.

In Ophthalmology, the last one to choose was candidate 2,098 at the Cabueñes University Hospital, in Gijón. The remaining places are distributed in several autonomous communities.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery completed the shift with number 2,062 at the University Hospital of Navarra.

Advances in Other MIR Specialties

Other specialties such as Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, Pediatric Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Endocrinology and Nutrition, and Neurosurgery are advancing in their allocation of MIR places with different numbers of places assigned so far.
