Improved working conditions for Catalan healthcare workers
The Catalan private healthcare sector has taken a step forward in improving the working conditions of its workers. Specifically, the conditions of health workers who work part-time have been equated with those of those who work full-time with regard to personal business days and holidays for Easter and Christmas.
Days of own business
From now on, part-time health workers who provide the same number of days worked as a full-time person will have the right to enjoy the three days of their own work. These days will be considered as days actually worked and will be paid according to the contracted day.
Holidays for Easter and Christmas
In addition, part-time workers will also have the right to enjoy a holiday for Easter and another for Christmas, as long as they provide the same number of days worked as a full-time person. These days will also be considered as days actually worked.
Medical matters
Finally, part-time health workers will also be equal to those who work full-time with regard to the right to a day of medical matters.
These improvements in working conditions are a recognition of the effort and dedication of Catalan healthcare workers, especially in a context like the current one, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic.
