How the OCU study was done

To do this, we had the collaboration of 30 people, who tried the creams for several days without knowing what brand they were or how much they cost. This avoided any bias or influence from advertising or the fame of the creams.
After using the creams, participants gave feedback on various aspects, such as texture, scent, skin feel, ease of application, absorption, moisturizing effect, and overall satisfaction. In addition, laboratory analyzes were performed to measure the level of skin hydration before and after applying the creams.
With all this data, the OCU prepared a ranking of the best facial moisturizing creams of 2023, taking into account both the opinions of users and the results of the analyzes.
Mercadona’s cream, the best according to the OCU
And the result was clear: the best moisturizing cream according to the OCU is the 24h Rich Texture Facial Cream from Deliplus, Mercadona’s own brand. This cream obtained a score of 81 out of 100, surpassing other much more expensive and well-known creams.
According to the OCU study, Mercadona’s cream stands out for its hydration power, which is maintained throughout the day, and for its good value for money, since the 50 ml jar costs only 5 euros. In addition, users positively valued its texture, its aroma and its sensation on the skin.
The OCU also pointed out that the main differences between the creams analyzed were in the labeling, the environmental impact of their packaging and, above all, their price. In fact, the most expensive cream in the study cost 225 euros, that is, 45 times more than Mercadona’s.
What is special about Mercadona cream
But what is so special about Mercadona’s cream to be the best in 2023 according to the OCU? Well, it is a very moisturizing cream for the face that is part of the Deliplus Hidrata line, one of the most popular of the supermarket chain.
The secret of its success lies in its formulation with hyaluronic acid, an ingredient widely used in cosmetics for its ability to retain water and fill wrinkles. But it is not just any hyaluronic acid, it has different molecular weights, which means that it acts on different layers of the skin, hydrating and firming it from the inside.
In addition, Mercadona’s cream contains new generation hyaluronic acid, which is highly concentrated and cross-linked, allowing it to create volume and fill in the most sunken areas of the face, such as dark circles or nasolabial folds.

My personal experience with Mercadona cream
After reading the OCU study, I decided to try Mercadona’s cream and I have to say that I loved it. After applying it, the skin looks much more hydrated and luminous. I like its texture, which is creamy but not greasy, and absorbs quickly. Its aroma is soft and pleasant, and it does not irritate the skin or cause allergies.
I use it morning and night, after cleansing and toning my face, and apply a small amount with a gentle upward massage. It leaves my skin ready to apply makeup or go to sleep. In addition, the jar is very practical and comfortable, and it lasts a long time, so I think it will last me a long time.
