Spain and Belgium are the only countries in Western Europe that have not yet initiated any regulatory process on the use of medicinal cannabis. On the other hand, countries such as Portugal, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Poland and Greece have implemented different regulatory models. These models are based on final formulations or master preparations with standardized amounts of cannabinoids, certified good manufacturing practices (GMP) processes and traceability guarantees.
The medical use of cannabis in Spain

These products seek to improve quality of life. of patients who suffer from debilitating diseases and whose current treatments do not allow them to control their symptoms
